    The late senator Buruji Kashamu’s family has debunked claims that Adewale Kashamu who is the son of the deceased, caused the death of Sylvester Oromoni Jnr who died after being tortured by some students for refusing to join a cult group.

    Before the painful death of Slyvester, he mentioned the deceased lawmaker’s son alongside four other students.

    However, the family, in a statement signed by Mutairu Kashamu, Adewale’s family said Adewale did not bully Sylvester, adding that they knew each other in Oromoni’s first session at the college during which he served as his school father.

    The family added that their friendship reduce earlier this year when the deceased 12 years old boy was moved to another hostel within the school premises. 

    After the family questioned Adewale, he told them that he presumed Sylvester was injured while playing football and he advised him to visit the school’s clinic as soon as possible, adding he Sylvester Oromoni earlier in November limping.

    The family enjoined the public to await the outcome of police investigations over Sylvester’s death before arriving at a conclusion on what led to Oromoni’s death.
