    Police releases Sylvester’s body to family for burial

    The Lagos state police command has released the body of 11-year-old Dowen college student, Sylvester Oromoni to the family after conducting an autopsy on him.

    The Daily Page recalls that Sylvester was allegedly tortured to death by some groups of students for refusing to join cult groups. Since the death of Sylvester, Dowen college has remained sealed pending the outcome of a Police investigation on the matter.

    Given an update, Adekunle Ajisebutu, the spokesperson of the state police command, said in a statement released on Friday, December 17th, that Sylvester’s remains have been returned to the family for burial.

    ”Sylvester Oromoni: autopsy done. Result is being awaited. Corpse released to family for burial. Investigation ongoing,” Ajisebutu said
