Tears as Singer Peter Okoye’s wife loses dad

Lola Omotayo Okoye, wife of Singer Peter Okoye has lost her dad.

The Daily Page learnt that Lola Omotayo Okoye’s dad, Chief Oladipo Adewale Omotayo died in the early hours of this morning, Wednesday, December 16th.

The demise of Lola’s dad was announced by Lola Omotayo Okoye on her Instagram page.

Sharing photos of her late dad, Omotayo Okoye expressed how much she loved her dad.

The death of her dad is indeed a big loss to the family as she expressed that there is no easy way to handle the grief that comes with the loss of a loved one.

In her lengthy post, Lola Okoye recounted how her father touched the lives of many with his time while on Earth.

May the soul of her late father, rest in perfect peace, amen.

Peter Okoye also took to his Instagram page to mourn the loss of his wife’s dad, he wrote:

“My dear great Father-in-law. Chief Oladipo Adewale Omotayo aka “Papa”
We will surely miss you!

“Your beloved Daughter Lola Okoye and your grand children Cameron & Aliona Okoye misses you desperately
we know we have been truly blessed to have had a husband, father and grandfather and most especially a Father-in-law like you. Till we meet again Papa”.

Davido says he is Igbo by tribe

David Adeleke, the Afrobeats performer known as Davido, said he is Igbo by blood. The singer shot back at someone who warned him about being friendly with Igbo people, saying he could worry about betrayal as a Yoruba man.

The X user, Yakbel, said: “Davido just dey carry Ibo full body, until when dem betray am before e rest. Yoruba boy dey frolick with Ibos in 2025, they want your head and everything you have to belong to them. You can never satisfy Ibos. Ibos are not people you surround yourself with as a Yoruba man.”

Davido overlooked the criticism and just replied:
“Lol. My ancestors are from the Igbo people.”

Nigerian online streamer, Habeeb Hamzat popularly known as Peller has revealed he convinced his girlfriend, Jarvis, to turn down a ₦3 billion offer from Netflix since it required her to kiss someone during the show.

Peller mentioned this during a livestream with Peter Okoye from P-Square.

Peller said, “Netflix offered 3 billion Naira my girlfriend, Jarvis to do a kissing scene, but I turned it down.”

Peter asked, “Do you mean N3 million or N3 billion?”

Peller replied, “N3 billion! I know you might not believe me, but I have the record of the video call. I warned them never to contemplate such ever again. I love my baby. I don’t joke with my baby. She is my life.”

Peter added, “Always look out for her.”

Nigerian actor, Charles Okocha has paid a heartwarming visit to legendary actor Kanayo Kanayo ahead of his upcoming wedding.

Charles visited Kanayo to bring his wedding invitation to him in person. In the video shared by Kanayo, Okocha described him as a man who influenced his acting career greatly and, therefore called him his family and role model.
