Social media giant, and micro-blogging platform, Twitter has reacted to the indefinite blockage of its operation in Nigeria by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
This is coming after Nigerian Government order Telecommunication operators to block Nigerian user access to micro-blogging platform, Twitter.
Reacting to the new development, Twitter promised Nigerians that they’ll soon regain access to the platform.
Twitter said, “We are deeply concerned by the blocking of Twitter in Nigeria. Access to the free and #openinternet is an essential human right in modern society.
We will work to restore access for all those in Nigeria who rely on Twitter to communicate and connect with the world. #KeepitOn.”
Meanwhile, many Nigerian tweeps are currently using VPN to access the micro-blogging platform.
