Music producer, Samuel Oguachuba, popularly known as Samklef, has revealed that Wizkid suffered to where he is today.
He stated this, in an Instagram live session with his fans on Saturday, April 23rd.
In the Instagram live monitored by The Daily Page, the singer slammed singer Banky W, as he demanded his royalties for Wizkid’s debut album.
This is coming after Banky W had an interview with media personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on Bounce Radio.
In the interview, Banky W claimed that Wizkid owed his labels three albums before he left EME.
He said, “There’s no need for us to try and tie him down. It was a five-album deal in the beginning and he had done two solo albums. He still owed three, but he wanted to leave. I don’t want anyone to stay when they don’t want to.”
Reacting to the claims, Samklef tweeted,“Claiming all my 11 years royalties for Wizkid’s Superstar album in a bit. My lawyers will reach out. It’s 50/50.
“Anybody wey don collect my money better reach out o! Samkef fine were o! Make dem tag Banky o! My money go don plenty o! Before him go use am campaign for election.”
He, in his Instagram live video, added that the interview was staged, as Banky W and the show host were close friends.
He noted that “Wizkid suffered to where he is today”.
He said, “See, Una just dey look, that boy suffered to where he is today. If Wizkid is where he is today, he did it by himself.
“It took me time to understand Wizkid personality. But one thing I will always give credit to Wizkid for, na from Wizkid I learnt we need to go outside look for people that will help you. Wizkid told me that we need to build our personal relationship with people that we need.”
