Headies organizers to cancel Portable’s nomination over threats to co-nominees
Organizers of the Headies Award has reported Nigerian singer, Portable to Police over threats to co-nominees.
This is coming after he bagged two nominations in the 2022 Headies Award.
After he was nominated, Portable threatened to kill whosoever that wins the award.
Reacting to his threat, Headies Award released a statement, revealing that they have reported the Zazu Zeh crooner to the Police.
The statement reads below:
In the Headies Award threatens to disqualify him if he doesn’t retract the video and tender written apology to the nominees in both categories and to The Headies.
The singer was nominated in the ‘Rookie of The Year‘ category alongside other talented artistes in the likes of; AV, Fave, Magixx and Ugoccie.
While in the second nomination, he made it into the “Best Street-Hop Artiste” category for his smash hit single Zazoo Zehh featuring Olamide and Poco Lee
David Adeleke, the Afrobeats performer known as Davido, said he is Igbo by blood. The singer shot back at someone who warned him about being friendly with Igbo people, saying he could worry about betrayal as a Yoruba man.
The X user, Yakbel, said: “Davido just dey carry Ibo full body, until when dem betray am before e rest. Yoruba boy dey frolick with Ibos in 2025, they want your head and everything you have to belong to them. You can never satisfy Ibos. Ibos are not people you surround yourself with as a Yoruba man.”
Davido overlooked the criticism and just replied:
“Lol. My ancestors are from the Igbo people.”
Nigerian online streamer, Habeeb Hamzat popularly known as Peller has revealed he convinced his girlfriend, Jarvis, to turn down a ₦3 billion offer from Netflix since it required her to kiss someone during the show.
Peller mentioned this during a livestream with Peter Okoye from P-Square.
Peller said, “Netflix offered 3 billion Naira my girlfriend, Jarvis to do a kissing scene, but I turned it down.”
Peter asked, “Do you mean N3 million or N3 billion?”
Peller replied, “N3 billion! I know you might not believe me, but I have the record of the video call. I warned them never to contemplate such ever again. I love my baby. I don’t joke with my baby. She is my life.”
Peter added, “Always look out for her.”

Nigerian actor, Charles Okocha has paid a heartwarming visit to legendary actor Kanayo Kanayo ahead of his upcoming wedding.
Charles visited Kanayo to bring his wedding invitation to him in person. In the video shared by Kanayo, Okocha described him as a man who influenced his acting career greatly and, therefore called him his family and role model.
