Davido celebrates 10 years on stage: 6 Notable achievements so far
David Adeleke popularly known as Davido is celebrating his remarkable 10 years on stage.
We are at The Daily Page is also celebrating with him for retaining his position as one of the best artistes in Africa.
As part of his celebration, the singer got himself a dedicated emoji to celebrate #Davido at 10 in the music industry and also a special emoji of his popularized slang ‘E Choke’.
The Daily Page highlights some of the notable achievements of the super star below:
1. First African to perform at Music of Black Origin Awards (MOBO)
In 2017, Davido became the first African artist to perform live and won the best African Act at the MOBO Awards.
As he beat Wizkid, Tekno, Tiwa Savage who were also nominated in the category, to clinch the award.
2. Bet Award
In 2018, Davido also became the first Nigerian artist to receive his award in the Black Entertainment Television Network (BET Award) main stage. The award academy celebrate African American in music, acting and other areas in the entertainment industry.
3. Sold out global concert venues
Not every Nigerian artist can boast of selling of a global concert Venue abroad but Davido, in 2019, sold out the O2 Arena, London where he thrilled a crowd of over 20000 fans on stage.
4. Davido’s songs If and Fall certified by RIAA
Davido’s song if and Fall both have a gold certificate by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) which means that his two songs were sold half a million copies in the United States of America.
5. Fall, the most viewed music video on YouTube
Davido’s song Fall is currently the most viewed Nigerian music video with 198million views on YouTube
6. The most followed artists on all social media platforms
Davido is the most followed singer on Instagram with 20.1 million followers, most followed on Twitter with 9.3 million followers and most followed on Facebook with 7m followers
Nigerian Disc Jockey, DJ Cuppy says she is now a new creation as she gets baptised.
The 31-year-old singer shared the news to her fans on her Instagram page where she shared photos from the baptismal event.
DJ Cuppy wrote, “This summer, I made THE best decision of my life— to fully dedicate my life to God. Baptism isn’t just a ceremony; it’s a transformation. I am a new creation, reborn in His grace ️✝️

Nigerian singer and latest groom in town, David Adeleke aka Davido has disclosed the identity of the person who introduced him to his wife, Chioma.
He made this known to the public when he was speaking with some of his groomsmen. According to him, it was his longtime friend and associate, Lati Biola introduced him to Chioma. Davido said: “You know that it was Lati who introduced him to my wife.”
As of the time of filing this report, Davido and Chioma are still in their wedding mood. Their wedding tagged ‘CHIVIDO2024’ has the attendance of celebrities, politicians, and dignitaries from all walks of life including Ooni of Ife, Obi Cubana, and others.
Davido engaged Chioma in 2019 and first addressed her as his wife in the year 2023. In the year, 2024, Davido fulfills his promise to wed Chioma after announcing that his wedding will be held in a few days.

CHIVIDO 2024: ‘Your daughter will be protected, respected, connected’ – Davido tells Chioma’s parents
Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, AKA Davido, has assured the parents of his bride, Chioma Rowland, that their daughter would be respected, protected, and connected in their union.
The latest groom in town disclosed in the ongoing wedding ceremony in Lagos today where he promised Chioma “a lifetime assurance”.
He said: “I promised her a lifetime assurance. I promise you, that your daughter will be protected, respected, and connected.
“Mummy and daddy, I love you.”
