Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has finally returned to social media after going silent for months.

Ahead of his performance at the closing ceremony of the World Cup on Sunday, December 18th, Davido shared photos of himself, his lover, Chioma Rowland.

As expected, fans showed their maximum love for Davido as he makes his first post on Instagram, garnering over 300000 likes and over 90000 comments within 40 minutes.

Alot of Nigerian celebrities including Tunde Ednut, Cubana Chief Priest, Whitemoney, Ckay, others welcomed him to the social media platforms.

It is no longer a news that Davido will be performing at the 2022 World Cup closing ceremony set to take place on Sunday, December 18 at 2:30PM, 1:30pm GMT in the UK or 8:30am ET if you are in the U.S.

Davido and Aisha will perform (Hayya Hayya) Better Together as part of the closing ceremony, with Ozuna and GIMS singing ‘Arhbo’.

This is coming few months after Davido lost his adorable son, Baby Ifeanyi through drowning at his swimming pool in Banana Island.

Since the loss of his son, Davido has kept mum on all social media till this moment.

However, the singer is yet to make a public statement about his son’s death.

Davido says he is Igbo by tribe

David Adeleke, the Afrobeats performer known as Davido, said he is Igbo by blood. The singer shot back at someone who warned him about being friendly with Igbo people, saying he could worry about betrayal as a Yoruba man.

The X user, Yakbel, said: “Davido just dey carry Ibo full body, until when dem betray am before e rest. Yoruba boy dey frolick with Ibos in 2025, they want your head and everything you have to belong to them. You can never satisfy Ibos. Ibos are not people you surround yourself with as a Yoruba man.”

Davido overlooked the criticism and just replied:
“Lol. My ancestors are from the Igbo people.”

I Told Jarvis to Reject ₦3 Billion Netflix Role Over Kissing Scene – Peller Claims

Nigerian online streamer, Habeeb Hamzat popularly known as Peller has revealed he convinced his girlfriend, Jarvis, to turn down a ₦3 billion offer from Netflix since it required her to kiss someone during the show.

Peller mentioned this during a livestream with Peter Okoye from P-Square.

Peller said, “Netflix offered 3 billion Naira my girlfriend, Jarvis to do a kissing scene, but I turned it down.”

Peter asked, “Do you mean N3 million or N3 billion?”

Peller replied, “N3 billion! I know you might not believe me, but I have the record of the video call. I warned them never to contemplate such ever again. I love my baby. I don’t joke with my baby. She is my life.”

Peter added, “Always look out for her.”

Nigerian actor, Charles Okocha has paid a heartwarming visit to legendary actor Kanayo Kanayo ahead of his upcoming wedding.

Charles visited Kanayo to bring his wedding invitation to him in person. In the video shared by Kanayo, Okocha described him as a man who influenced his acting career greatly and, therefore called him his family and role model.
