The FA has fined Arsenal £20,000 for failing to manage their players in an orderly manner during their match against Manchester City on Saturday.
Arsenal defender Gabriel was sent off after the incident in the 59th minute of the encounter at the Emirates.
Referee Stuart Atwell gave Gabriel a second yellow card for pushing back City winger Gabriel Jesus as he turned away from the defender. Gabriel’s Arsenal teammates rushed Atwell in a show of displeasure.
The Arsenal player had only received his first yellow card two minutes prior, when he was penalized for dissent prior to City’s Riyad Mahrez completing a penalty kick.
Arsenal got off to a good start, with Bukayo Saka scoring a well-taken goal in the 31st minute.
However, City rallied in the second half, with Mahrez’s penalty tying the game before Gabriel’s dismissal gave them the lead.
Pep Guardiola’s side then dominated the final half-hour of play, with Rodri scoring the winner in the 93rd minute.
