The Federal Government has directed all Telecommunication operators which include Airtel, MTN, Glo, and 9 mobile to block sim cards that are not registered with the National Identification Number, NIN after December 30th. In a statement released by the NCC Director of public Affairs of NCC, Dr Ikechukwu Adinde stated that any telecommunication operator that fails to comply with this new directive will risk outright withdrawal of the license or heavy penalty.
