New England Revolution goalkeeper Matt Turner will join Arsenal this summer, according to USA head coach Gregg Berhalter.
Arsenal had agreed on a £5.8 million agreement for the 27-year-old shot-stopper, with an additional £2 million in add-ons.
Berhalter, on the other hand, has now confirmed that the transaction has been done by revealing that Turner would be joining Arsenal from the New England Revolution.
Following the USA’s 1-0 World Cup qualifying win over El Salvador on Thursday, Berhalter stated this.

“[Turner] went to Fairfield University, was undrafted out of college, and now he’s playing for the national team and is on his way to Arsenal,” Berhalter said after the game.
“It’s simply an amazing story,” he continued, “and it’s all because of him, his work ethic, his belief in himself, and his never-say-die mentality.”
“It’s a fantastic story, and Matt is a fantastic teammate who we are fortunate to have.”
