The operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has reportedly arrested the former Kwara state governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed for allegedly diverting N9 billion, Channel Television reports.
It was gathered that the Anti graft agency invited the former governor for questioning at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja
The publication revealed that Abdulfatah Ahmed arrived the EFCC headquarters at about 10 am on Monday, and was interrogated by the Anti graft agency for about seven hours.
Confirming his arrest, a source told Channels that Abdulfatah Ahmed was arrested in connection with how funds to the tune of about N9 billion were allegedly diverted from the state’s government account during his tenure as governor of the state.
He also served as the Commissioner for Finance in the administration of former Governor Bukola Saraki.
