A year ago, the lives of so many innocent souls were wasted by the country meant to protect them during EndSARS protest.

Today, we remember that heavy sacrifice of those who died during the EndSARS protest, a social movement against police brutality in Nigeria.

The peaceful EndSARS protest which began on the 3rd of October 2020 as a result of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad  (SARS) continuous abuse of power, turned bloodshed.

    EndSARS anniversary

On this day, the night of the 20th of October 2020. Members of the Nigerian Army opened fire at innocent peaceful EndSARS protesters at about 6:50pm killing and endangering the lives of so many civilians.

Special report by Foundation of Investigative Journalism (FIJ) revealed how the End SARS protesters were massacred.

Engraved in our “re-memory” today the 20th of October, the remembrance of those who lost their lives during the EndSARS protest and those who have in one way or another been harassed and brutalized by SARS.

It will go down in history that their lives were not meaningless, but their sacrifice will serve as a watershed for the re-structure and growth of a new Nigeria. A Nigeria of the people, by the people and for the people. Yesterday Nigerians bleed. We bleed but no more.

We will and must never forget those who fought the good fight against oppression.

    FREEDOM✊?
