According to BILD, Serge Gnabry, a forward for Bayern Munich, will decline any summer transfer to Chelsea because of his allegiance to Arsenal.
Even as he enters the final year of his deal with the Bundesliga champions, the Germany international has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
Bayern is now having trouble reaching an extended agreement with Gnabry.
Chelsea now has a chance to sign the former Arsenal player as a result. As they look at replacements to Raphinha, who is on his way to Barcelona, the Blues are said to have made a “approach” to capture his services.
Due to his prior connections with Arsenal, Gnabry does not view a move to Stamford Bridge as an option.
It has been reported that because of his allegiance to the Gunners, he does not want to play for another team in London. Gnabry, who played 18 times and scored one goal for the club, naturally advanced through the Hale End Academy.
