Graeme Souness, a former player for Liverpool, has spoken out against Chelsea’s anticipated £50 million offer for Anthony Gordon of Everton.
According to reports in England, Chelsea is prepared to make a second bid of £50 million for Gordon.
But the pundit thinks it’s a big risk and expensive to get Gordon’s signature.
“It is a hell of a lot of money for a 21-year-old who’s played 50-odd games,” he told talkSPORT.
“I think the young man is promising, but when you are spending £40 million on someone who might not be a player, it is a big gamble.”
