Erling Haaland, a new striker for Manchester City, has expressed his eagerness to play Manchester United.
On Sunday, City formally debuted the 21-year-old.
Haaland was one of four summer acquisitions announced to the crowd of fans gathering outside the Etihad Stadium. He was acquired from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of €60 million.
The former Dortmund playerntpi gave this response when asked which team he was most looking forward to competing against: “I don’t like to say the words, but… Manchester United.”
At one time in his career, Haaland’s name was connected to a transfer to United.
But his father, Alf-Inge, who played for City in the early 2000s, admitted to having Sergio Aguero T-shirts and said the club’s all-time leading scorer was an inspiration to him.
