He calls me every week – Davido opens up on relationship with Wizkid

Nigerian singer, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has opened up about his relationship with his colleague, Wizkid, saying he calls him every week.

He revealed this in a recent interview with Beat 99.9FM, Lagos on Friday, 31st of April, 2023, where he confirmed that he and Wizkid will be embarking on a joint tour next year.

He said, “I would be lying to you if I tell you that [the tour] is not in the talks. It’s looking like next year. I think me and Wiz are probably going to drop a record. Shout out to my brother. He literally calls me every week and checks on me. Shout out to Wiz.”

Recall that Wizkid had showed support to his colleague Davido on the micro-blogging platform, calling on Nigerians to stream Davido’s fourth studio album ‘Timeless’ which finally dropped on Thursday.

The 31-year-old singer shared the news to her fans on her Instagram page where she shared photos from the baptismal event.

Nigerian singer and latest groom in town, David Adeleke aka Davido has disclosed the identity of the person who introduced him to his wife, Chioma.

He made this known to the public when he was speaking with some of his groomsmen. According to him, it was his longtime friend and associate, Lati Biola introduced him to Chioma. Davido said: “You know that it was Lati who introduced him to my wife.”

As of the time of filing this report, Davido and Chioma are still in their wedding mood. Their wedding tagged ‘CHIVIDO2024’ has the attendance of celebrities, politicians, and dignitaries from all walks of life including Ooni of Ife, Obi Cubana, and others.

Davido engaged Chioma in 2019 and first addressed her as his wife in the year 2023. In the year, 2024, Davido fulfills his promise to wed Chioma after announcing that his wedding will be held in a few days.

Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, AKA Davido, has assured the parents of his bride, Chioma Rowland, that their daughter would be respected, protected, and connected in their union.

The latest groom in town disclosed in the ongoing wedding ceremony in Lagos today where he promised Chioma “a lifetime assurance”.

He said: “I promised her a lifetime assurance. I promise you, that your daughter will be protected, respected, and connected.

“Mummy and daddy, I love you.”
