No fewer than eleven people, including three Almajiris, have been killed in an oil tanker explosion that occurred in the Old Gawu area of Abaji Local Government Area, Abuja.
The incident happened on Sunday when a tanker was trying to avoid colliding with a truck.
After the tanker fell, some residents came out with buckets to scoop leaking oil from the tanker.
Subsequently, the tanker exploded.
Mr. Gora said, “The incident happened along Lapai-Lambata road in Niger state. Where it happened happens to be Old Gawu under FCT Abaji area council.”
Mr. Gora continued, “I don’t know where they got 11 people. All I know is that 10 people were dead and 10 people were injured. Honestly, I don’t know if almajirai were part of them.”
