    Kaduna government considers imposing another lockdown as Covid 19 cases increase

    The Kaduna state government has threatened to impose another lockdown if rate of spread of Coronavirus retains or exceed the current pace.

    This was disclosed to the public by Dr Amina Mohammed Baloni, the Commissioner of Health during a press conference held at the Ministry of Health, Kaduna on Saturday, 12th December, 2020.

    According to the Commissioner, on 26th November 2020, the state recorded 74 positive results from 531 samples

    However, the commissioner appealed to residents of the state to comply with the safety and precaution guidelines by authorities which include wearing of facemasks always, observing social distancing and washing of hands with soap under running water or using sanitizer.

    The commissioner furthered stated that failure to comply might force the state government to temporarily close public spaces including schools, markets, offices and place of worship.

    Today, Governor El Rufai of Kaduna state announced that he is going into self isolation after one of his family and a top government official tested positive for coronavirus.
