The Lagos State government shuts down Dowen College situated in Lekki over the death of Sylvester Oromoni Jnr who was brutalized by some students.
This was made known in a statement signed by Ganiu Lawal, the Assistant Director, Public Affairs, of the Lagos State Ministry of Education.
In the statement, Commissioner for Education, Folasade Adefisayo stated that the school will be closed pending the outcome of police investigation.
Recall that Oromoni was allegedly tortured by students for refusing to join cult group. Unfortunately, he died in the hospital.
