Neco releases 2020 results

The National Examination Council (NECO) has released the 2020 Senior School Certificate Examination (Internal) result.

This was made known to the public on Wednesday by the registrar of the council, Godswill Obioma in Minna, Niger state.

Mr Godswill said that COVID-19 and EndSARS prostest gave them a lot of challenge during the conduct of the exam as some candidates missed some papers during that period.

He, therefore, said those affected candidates will sit for those paper missed from Monday 1st February, 2021 to Wednesday 3rd, March 2021.

He said candidates can now access their results on NECO website using their examination registration numbers.

TapSwap sets July 1st as new launch date

The popular crypto-currency platform, TapSwap has officially postponed her launch date from May 30th to July 1st, citing some reason for numerous bots.

This was made known to the public via the official social media platform of the crypto-currency platform on X.com (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday.

It was gathered that TapSwap decided to shift the launch date to July after they discovered some illegal bots are compromises the integrity of the token distribution process, hence enabling users to earn an unfair amount of Shares.

In order to rectify this issue, according to a statement released by TapSwap, they need sometime to identify, stop, and ban these bots, noting that this move will reward those who have earned them honestly.

The Federal Government of Nigeria has proposed N60000 new minimum wage has been rejected by the Nigeria Labour Congress, which claims it is offensive to the sensitivities of Nigerian workers.

According to a report by the Cable Newspaper, the Nigeria Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress rejected an earlier proposal by the federal government for a minimum salary of N48,000. This rejection occurred in as little as two weeks.

THE DAILY PAGE recalls that the National Labor Council (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) had suggested a minimum salary of N615,500 for Nigerian workers, noting the country’s high cost of living. They also gave the federal government until May 31 to complete the process of setting a new national minimum wage.
