Police arrests Actor, Baba Ijesha for allegedly defiling a 14-year-old girl

Operatives of Lagos State Police Command has arrested a popular Yoruba actor, Olarenwaju James, aka Baba Ijesha, for allegedly defiling a 14-year-old girl over the course of 7 years.

This was disclosed by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in a statement titled, “Lagos police arrest, investigate popular Nollywood actor for defilement”.

According to the statement, Olumuyiwa Adejobi said the case of defilement was reported on 19th April, 2021 by one Princess Adekola Adekanya ‘female’ at Sabo Police Station.

He added that the case has been transferred to the Gender Unit of the State CID, Panti, Yaba Lagos for proper investigation.

Based on preliminary findings, the suspect started sexually assaulting the victim, 14 years, since she was seven years old.

The suspect confessed to the crime and was also captured by a CCTV camera in the house of the complainant.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered for proper investigation as he promised to do justice in the matter.

Nigerian singer and latest groom in town, David Adeleke aka Davido has disclosed the identity of the person who introduced him to his wife, Chioma.

He made this known to the public when he was speaking with some of his groomsmen. According to him, it was his longtime friend and associate, Lati Biola introduced him to Chioma. Davido said: “You know that it was Lati who introduced him to my wife.”

As of the time of filing this report, Davido and Chioma are still in their wedding mood. Their wedding tagged ‘CHIVIDO2024’ has the attendance of celebrities, politicians, and dignitaries from all walks of life including Ooni of Ife, Obi Cubana, and others.

Davido engaged Chioma in 2019 and first addressed her as his wife in the year 2023. In the year, 2024, Davido fulfills his promise to wed Chioma after announcing that his wedding will be held in a few days.

Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, AKA Davido, has assured the parents of his bride, Chioma Rowland, that their daughter would be respected, protected, and connected in their union.

The latest groom in town disclosed in the ongoing wedding ceremony in Lagos today where he promised Chioma “a lifetime assurance”.

He said: “I promised her a lifetime assurance. I promise you, that your daughter will be protected, respected, and connected.
