Raheem Sterling has been transferred from Manchester City to Chelsea.
In a brief statement posted on social media on Wednesday, the Blues confirmed Sterling’s transfer.
Since taking over the team from Roman Abramovich, Todd Boehly has finally made significant hires thanks to the signing of the England international.
The 27-year-old will set the Blues back an estimated £50 million in transfer fees.
Sterling has agreed to a five-year deal that is substantially more expensive than the £300,000 weekly salary he received from City and the £290,000 weekly salary N’Golo Kante receives at Stamford Bridge.
He has the option to extend his contract for a another season, which would put him among the top three earners in the Premier League.
