Paul Scholes, a Manchester United legend, has stated that Paul Pogba is the only Red Devils player who would get into Liverpool’s lineup following the 28-year-recent old’s return to form.
Pogba has missed numerous games for Manchester United this season owing to a long-term hamstring injury he suffered while on international duty with France last November.
Since Pogba’s comeback to the first team at the beginning of February, Manchester United has stayed unbeaten in the Premier League.
Pogba has one goal and one assist in his previous four Premier League games, and he was outstanding in Ralf Rangnick’s 4-2 victory over Leeds on Sunday.
“Pogba in his best form would [get into Liverpool’s team],” Scholes said ahead of Manchester United’s Champions League round of 16 first-leg match against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.
Scholes said that every single player in Man Utd is unreliable. The people in charge of the club are inconsistent in their actions.
“I’ve been a big critic of Paul, but if you’re an opposing player going to Old Trafford and playing against Fred and McTominay — all day.”
“You have no idea what you’re going to get with Paul right now.” When he’s on his game, however, he’s spectacular.
