Luciano Spalletti, the manager of Napoli, has stated that he will work to improve Victor Osimhen as a player.

Since taking over at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium last summer, Spalletti and Osimhen have gotten along.

During the 2021/22 season, the Nigerian international scored 14 goals in 27 league games for the Partenopei.

In Sunday’s 4-1 victory over Perugia for the Partenopei, Osimhen made his second preseason appearance.

The striker will have big expectations for the upcoming season, and the manager is eager to help Osimhen reach his potential.

“Victor has to find the best condition, but we know what his great potential is and we will go to work on his qualities not yet expressed,” Spalletti told a press conference.

Before their Serie A debu against Verona on August 15, Napoli will play friendlies against Adana Demirspor, Mallorca, Girona, and Espanyol.
