Tuchel confirms key players to miss Manchester United clash

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has stated that four key players will miss his side’s Premier League match against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Thursday night.

Mateo Kovacic, Ben Chilwell, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Ross Barkley are the four players.

Tuchel also gave the most up-to-date information on Antonio Rudiger, Reece James, and Andreas Christensen ahead of Chelsea’s match against Manchester United.

“Kova [Kovacic] will be out, Ben Chilwell will be out, and Callum [Hudson-Odoi] will be out,” Tuchel said during his pre-match press conference on Wednesday.

Ton Rudiger and Reece James were in training on Tuesday, and we have another session coming up, so hopefully they will be alright.

Andreas [Christensen] needs to be examined again, but he should be able to train. Ross Barkley is out due to illness and will not be joining the squad.”

Chelsea are coming off a 1-0 win over West Ham United in their last encounter.

The match between Manchester United and Chelsea will begin at 7.45 p.m.

Enzo Maresca on Monday appointed as the new manager of the men’s team at Chelsea FC.

The West London Premier League team made this announcement on its website in a statement, saying, commencing July 1, 2024, Maresca will assume his new position. The Blues put the Italian under contract for five years.
