    Don’t flaunt wealth on social media, IGP tells Nigerians

    Mohammed Adamu, the current Inspector General of Police has on Thursday, December 24th, advised Nigerians not to flaunt their wealth on social media.

    In a statement released on Thursday, December 24th, the IGP assured Nigerians that there will be tightened security during Christmas and new year celebration in Nigeria as IGP directed officers to protect Nigerians.

    Part of the areas, IGP directed officers to protect, include Major highways, railway stations, airports, place of worship, Financial Institutions, recreational centers and others.

    He advised Nigerians to be security conscious, adding that citizens should avoid night travel, over loading, and over speeding.

    Also, IGP advised Nigerians to protect themselves from the ravaging COVID-19 pandemic as Nigeria is now in the second wave of the coronavirus.

    The IGP, on behalf of the entire officers of the Force, wished Nigerians a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year in advance.
