Jack Wilshere has agreed to terms with Danish club Aarhus Gymnastikforening on a season-long loan.
Wilshere has the option of extending his contract for another year and will report to training with his new teammates on Monday. He was handed the No. 10 shirt.
The former Arsenal and West Ham midfielder has been without a club since being released by Bournemouth at the end of his contract last summer.
The 30-year-old had been training with Arsenal and Italian club Como to keep healthy while looking for a new team.
“Since I started training with Arsenal, I have never hidden the fact that it was to be ready for 2022 and for a new club,” Wilshere remarked. Now that the perfect club has arrived, it will be a thrilling new task for me.
“I am at a point in my career where I need to restart after a difficult period, and AGF has provided me with that opportunity.” I am grateful, and I will do everything in my power to live up to the expectations.”
