    JUST IN: Kwara govt sacks 2414 teachers, gives reason

    Kwara State Governor, AbdulRaham AbdulRazaq has sacked 2414 teachers who were employed during the adminstration of the former governor, Abdulfathai Ahmed.

    AbdulRaham explained that the 2414 teachers employed by the State Universal Basic Education Board(KWSUBEB) are not qualified for the job as they don’t have the required certificate to teach.

    In a press released by the press secretary of ministry of Education & Human Capital Development titled Kwara Govt takes stand on 2019 SUBEB workers, revealed that the state government has decided to start new employment process all over again in January 2021.

    The state government added that eligible 2414 person will be able to apply through the new application portal, noting that every applicant will go through rigorous screenings.

    Also, Governor AbdulRaham AbdulRazaq ordered the salaries of 594 person withheld since June 2020 to be paid immediately.
