Bu Thiam who has been named EVP at Columbia Records and longtime manager of Kanye West, stated this via his Instagram page story.

Kanye West’s manager wrote, “Sometimes, jealousy isn’t because of what you have materialistically; people envy how others love you.”

The Daily Page recalls that Davido had stated that it is him against the music industry after a fan faulted his colleagues not celebrating him so much after his FIFA performance.

On the 1st of April, 2022, Davido performed at the FIFA World Cup Final draw after he featured on the FIFA world cup soundtrack.

The Daily Page also recalls that Davido had revealed that he had maned up several times to work things out with people the media have made his enemies despite being the little one by age.

In his Instagram page story, he described himself as the only Nigerian artiste that almost every other successful and great artiste in the Nigerian music industry has either been compared to or formed against.

I worked as tout after I ran away from home – Singer Oxlade

Nigerian singer Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman, better known as Oxlade, has revealed that he once worked as a tout after he ran away from home to pursue his music career.

According to him, he sold bus tickets—a job of motor park touts, popularly called “agbero.”

In a recent interview, the music star disclosed that he had to leave home because his lecturer dad didn’t initially support his decision to be a musician.

He said: “Honestly, he [my dad] was indifferent at first. But my stubbornness and consistency paid off [laughs].

“I ran away from the house at some point in my life to pursue music personally. And I had to do all sorts of stuff to survive. Selling bus tickets and selling foods at parties.”

Stressing that he is from the ‘streets of Surulere’ in Lagos, he avowed that “if you can survive in Surulere, you can survive anywhere.”

He added that the experience he had in the ghetto helped him make better decisions.
