    President Buhari congratulates Anthony Joshua for retaining his heavyweight titles

    Nigeria’s president Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated Anthony Joshua for retaining his world heavyweight champion titles.

    This is coming after Anthony Joshua defeated Kubrat Pulev in the ninth round of world heavyweight champion fight which was held on Saturday night, December 12th, 2020.

    Reacting to his victory, President Buhari hailed Anthony Joshua’s victory over Kubrat Pulev in a statement released by Femi Adesina, the special adviser to the President (Media and publicity) on Sunday, December 13th.

    According to the President, Anthony Joshua is now an inspiration to boxing lovers around the world for him to retain his IBF, WBA, and WBO titles.

    The president stated further that he believes Anthony Joshua is a humble, well brought up young man, “who will still go places.”

    As the world anticipate for Anthony Joshua’s fight against Tyson Fury in 2021, President Buhari wished him all the best.

    Congratulations to Anthony Joshua on his victory over Pulev.
