The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities has given Federal government a December ultimatum to implement the new minimum wage.
The union called on Nigerian government to release funds to clear the backlog of new minimum wage arrears due to their members.
The call for implentation of the minimum wage was made by the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities President, Mohammed Ibrahim on Tuesday, December 22nd in Yola.
Speaking further, he warned that another strike action by the union would be inevitable even if ASUU suspend their 10 month old strike.
ASUU hints Nigerian students time of resumption
The Academic Staff Union of Universities has on Tuesday, December 22nd, announced to Nigerian students the time universities will reopen nationwide.
In a tweet, sighted by the thedailypage.ng, the union hinted that strike will be suspended soon as federal government begins the payment of their withheld salaries since March.
The union, therefore, tagged their tweet as good news.
