The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities has given Federal government a December ultimatum to implement the new minimum wage.

The union called on Nigerian government to release funds to clear the backlog of new minimum wage arrears due to their members.

The call for implentation of the minimum wage was made by the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities President, Mohammed Ibrahim on Tuesday, December 22nd in Yola.

Speaking further, he warned that another strike action by the union would be inevitable even if ASUU suspend their 10 month old strike.
