Thibaut Courtois, the goalkeeper for Real Madrid, has asked Chelsea fans not to boo him as he prepares to return to Stamford Bridge.
Courtois, a former Chelsea player, stated that he is delighted to be returning to the West London club.
On Wednesday night, Real Madrid will meet Chelsea in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie at Stamford Bridge.
And Thibaut Courtois is hoping for a warm welcome from the Chelsea fans.
“I hope they don’t boo me, but you never know,” Courtois said, according to Real Madrid’s website.
“I’m ready for anything that comes my way, and we’ll see how it goes.”
“I hope it is a happy return to Stamford Bridge. We are now rivals. They will want to win and the same goes for me too and so I am not expecting any applause from the fans.”
