Nigerian Nollywood filmmaker, Chico Ejiro is dead. As per media reports, the movie producer died in the early of Christmas day from a seizure. The movie producer nicknamed Mr Prolific only just concluded directing his new movie on Christmas Eve. He has directed more than 90 movies including Night Bus To Lagos (2019), Outlast (2001), Blood Money (1997), Welcome To Nollywood (2007), Silent Night 2, All My Heart, Computer Girls and others. He is survived by his wife, Joy Ejiro and four children. May his soul rest in perfect peace, amen.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has on Monday conditionally suspended its 9 months old strike. This is coming after varsity lecturers received their two month arrears. The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities has given Federal government a December ultimatum to implement the new minimum wage. The union called on Nigerian government to release funds to clear the backlog of new minimum wage arrears due to their members.
