    Italy’s 1982 world cup hero, Paolo Rossi dies at 64

    Paolo Rossi, Italy’s world cup hero and Italian soccer had died at aged 64, his wife confirmed on Instagram.

    On 9th December, 2020, the wife of Rossi, Federica Cappelletti announced the demise of her husband as she posted a photo of herself and her husband, captioning it “Per Sempre” which translates to ” forever”.

    In the wife”s post, she did not reveal the cause of Rossi’s death.

    As per media reports, Paolo Rossi had been suffering from an incurable disease.

    Who is Paolo Rossi?

    Paolo Rossi who was born on 23rd September 1956, died on 9th December, 2020.

    He was an Italian professional footballer who also made Italy to win the 1982 FIFA world cup title.

    Before his death, Paolo Rossi is named Italy’s top scorer in world cup history.

    He is also regarded as one of the greatest and most prolific Italian forwards of all time.

    Paolo Rossi is survived by his wife, Federica Cappelletti and 3 children, Alessandro Rossi, Sofia Elena Rossi and Maria Vittoria.
