When Leicester City plays Tottenham Hotspur this weekend, Kelechi Iheanacho thinks that they will make an effort to snap their losing run in the Premier League this season.

On Saturday night, Brendan Rodgers’ squad will go to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in an effort to restart their season and Iheanacho believes the club can get their season started.

The Foxes are still looking for their first victory of the season and sit near the bottom of the list.

Losing to Antonio Conte’s club may be the end for Rodgers, who is under pressure after the team’s dismal season opener.

But Iheanacho thinks a victory in London will allow the former Premier League champions to turn things around.

A win would give them the momentum to go forward this season. “We need to defend as a team, attack as a team and just work hard as a team.

“We have been preparing very, very hard for this and hopefully it turns around this weekend. Training has been going quite well. The message has always been that we stick together whether we lose or win but right now we need to show character, hunger and desire.

“As players and as a team we know we can get the results we need, we showed that last season. So far this season, it’s just turned out the other way. We have great quality in this team, so we just need to believe in ourselves and get the points to get us back up there this season.”
