Diego Simeone, manager of Atletico Madrid, has remarked that finding flaws in Manchester United’s team is quite tough.
Simeone made the remarks before their Champions League round of 16 first leg match on Wednesday at the Wanda Metropolitano.
He lauded the physicality of the United squad, but stated unequivocally that he will find a way to “the goal.”
“The team is much more compact, and it’s stronger,” Simeone remarked.
“They have solidity at the back, and they’re a highly physical squad with their central defenders and midfield.”
“They are quite strong, and it is extremely tough to identify vulnerabilities there.”
“I always evaluate our opponent’s virtues, but of course, we will attempt to find a way to hurt them, to find our way to the goal, if you like.”
Manchester United will play Atletico Madrid in their opening round of the Champions League round of 16.
