    CAF releases tournament’s Best XI

    The Best XI for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, has been announced by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

    Following the end of the competition in Egypt on Sunday night, CAF announced the 2021 AFCON Best XI in a tweet via their Twitter handle.

    CAF releases tournament’s Best XI

    No Nigerian players, including Moses Simon, who had an excellent tournament, made the Best XI or reserve bench.

    Cameroon featured four players in the roster, including the tournament’s best goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy, Saliou Ciss, Nampalys Mendy, and Most Valuable Player Sadio Mane.

    Remember that the Teranga Lions of Senegal won the AFCON final 4-2 on penalties in Yaoundé’s Olembé stadium in Cameroon over the weekend.

    The last match of the AFCON 2021 finished in a 0-0 stalemate.

    Senegal won their first-ever AFCON after Sadio Mane netted the game-winning penalty against Egypt.

    The following is the complete list:

    Mendy, Hakimi, Abdelmonem, Tapsoba, Ciss, N.Mendy, Toure, Elneny, Salah, Aboubakar, and Mane are the best XI in the world.
