Before the Super Eagles’ 2022 FIFA World Cup second leg playoff against Ghana on Tuesday evening at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, assistant captain William Troost-Ekong revealed the team’s key strength.
The Super Eagles’ main strength, according to Troost-Ekong, is that they have only conceded one goal in their last five matches.
Nigerian stars such as Odion Ighalo and Emmanuel Dennis, according to the Watford star, know how to score goals.
The Super Eagles drew 0-0 with Ghana in the first leg last Friday in Kumasi.
“I believe there are two ways to look at it. “I would back all of our players, including Emmanuel Dennis and Odion Ighalo,” Troost-Ekong said at his pre-match press conference before of Tuesday’s meeting at the MKO Abiola Stadium.
“I believe they will be even more motivated to score and prove to everyone that they are capable of doing so.
“Secondly, we’ve only given up one goal in our previous five games, so perhaps that’s also where our strength rests.”
